First on the list, Tappan 2009! The entire Schmidt Family heads to Tappan Lake State Park for a week of vacation. This is something we have done since my dad was a youngster :) ...minus a few years here & there when we vacationed in the Carolinas or we didn't do a big vacation collectively. We rent 10 cabins among us all...basically fish, lay out, play volleyball/softball/etc., and of course the campfires in the evenings (which sometimes last till the morning)! With wedding season in full blast, Scott, Ev, & I were lucky to spend three days there! It was a great week!
Evi's first "Tappan Bath"

Poppy with his granddaughters

Classic Tappan Sunset...ahhh

Sean, doing his best Captain Morgan pose...and for once, not asleep :) Hehe

Late night campfire...gettin silly :)

Easy there, Deborah! Making the drinks for Margarita Tuesday...ladies only & no kids!

Cheers! My Momma & me

Auntie Leenie, Aunt Carol & Susu Bear at Margarita Tuesday!

Typical Tappan Face...tired & dirty!

Bathing Babes...the Newbies :) Cam, Ari, Miles, & Evi

Our attempt to get a pic of all of the Agnes Schmidt Great-Grandkids...notice Spencer taking off in the background! We tried this in mid-afternoon...we'll try it in the morning next time!

Tickles & smooches from Drewbert!

Jimothy manning the grill at our Community Breakfast...mmmm was it yummy! Thanks to everyone who chipped in with delicious food!!

Kids' Table at Community Breakfast

Nothing like a good race after getting your belly full! :)

Mags thought of the ingenius idea of tie-dyeing again this year...Sarah is dipping her shirt into the dye.

April & Adalie about to reveal their finished product!

The Tom Schmidt Grandkids in their tie-dyes!

Ev & I sporting our tie-dye!

Mmmm...popsicle on a hot, summer day!

Tribe Time!

Matching pants :)

You can tell it was a real exciting game...as it always is with the Tribe!

Look closely on her bottom gum---FIRST TOOTH! The second one came in just a few days later in mid/late July. More should be popping through any day now...but for now she still only has two teeth!

Daddy Love...

...and Momma Love!

She's up...

...and she's off! Our Peanut is on the move! She started crawling about one week before her 8 mth birthday...now she's ALWAYS on the move---that's why my blogging has slacked...I'm always chasing after Ev!

Ev's first time in the lake...she wasn't quite sure about it!

Fun in the sun...

Scott & I were able to go see Phish for our 3rd show this summer at Darion Lake...way fun!! Just a few pics from before we headed up to the venue:
Hanging out before the show in the lot--Ryan, Scott & Erin

Scott & I; Pre-show

Phish Lot...NOT Shakedown---the calm scene of "Phishers"

In mid-August, Scott & I spent two days in the Lake Chatauqua Region in New York (thanks to his sister, Kristy--last year's Christmas present!). We visited their wineries along the wine trail & just plain relaxed without the Peanut. We took pics at EVERY winery, but it would take too much time to upload every picture--so here are a few of our favorites! THANKS KRISTY!!!!!
Ellicotville Brewery...anytime we are anywhere near a brewery, Scott has to go...not that I argue! It was good...we went twice during our two-day stay!

A walk in the vineyards...

Johnson Estate---could have been influenced due to the last name of one of my best friends, Morgie...but also the atmosphere was nice, too! We did like the wine as well, & Scott liked the labels :)

Peach Picking...we passed up this orchard & turned around to peach pick---neither of us had done it before...it was fun...and yummy!

Our basket of peaches.

This place had its tasting room in their basement...it was like stepping into a dungeon...but in a good way! It also was home to my favorite white wine of the trip, Bare Bone--a blend of grapes...mmmmm

My personal favorite of the trip, Quincy Cellars. They restored an old barn...way cool inside. They were actually closed, but the owner was preparing for an event & still let us do a tasting & enjoy a glass of wine on the porch! What a genuinely nice guy!

Can I come up, Momma?

It's the simple things in life...

Doesn't it look like she's belting out a major jam?!!!

When Steve was out of town, Mags came up to Bay to stay with Sarah...Ev & I stopped over one afternoon. Evi, Miles, & Cameron

The Blushing Bride-to-Be, Holly (one of my best friends & old roommate from Kent). Holly's cousin, Anne, & I threw her bachelorette party in Cleveland. We had dinner & her lingerie shower at Zocalo's on E. 4th St. & then headed to Howl at the Moon (Piano Bar). What a fun time!!

I got Holls called up on stage for the first time of the night.

My girlfriend, Kelly, came along to join in the fun!

Kell snuck a pic of Holls & I singing

On Labor Day, Chris & Mags stopped by with the kids before heading home---lunch turned into an impromptu sleepover! We plopped the kids in the tub...had to get a pic! Cam, nearly 5 1/2 mths, Spencer 2 yrs, & Evi 9 mths

Nothing says end of summer like the start of football season. Evi's first tailgating experience---Scott went to the game--he made us breakfast on the grill in the lot...we hung out, then, Ev & I went home to watch the game & went back to pick up Scott.

Family of Jerseys--I'm representing my boy, Josh Cribbs; Evi is sporting Brady Quinn; & Scott is wearing Joe Thomas. Poor, poor game, though...well the first half was good.....but once again, we can't finish strong...maybe next week!
